About Pier Butler
For Pier, design is more than a career — it’s a lifelong passion rooted in creativity, detail, and the joy of transformation. In 1998, she and her husband redeveloped their family-operated marina in Annapolis, an experience that deepened her connection to design and life on the water. For more than 20 years, her work has included collaborating with architects on multi-million-dollar waterfront homes in Eastport, designing boutique Airbnbs, and most recently, creating FLOHOM’s innovative floating residences. A mother of two daughters and a lover of all things design, Pier believes the true measure of her work is not just how a space looks, but how it shapes the way people live, connect, and experience their time there.
